DERICHS ED sensor
The DERICHS ED wireless sensors allow continuous monitoring of temperature (ED1) and pressure (ED2) inside a roll in film production. The image shows an ED unit with the two sensors for pressure and temperature. The acquisition of such process data is on the one hand important for the control of the production process, on the other hand necessary for the documentation of production and quality assurance. The ED gateway represents a consistent further development to collect and join the data of several ED sensors for process control, process development based on data and quality assurance.

The ED sensors (designated as S1, S2 and S3) send measured values and status messages via LE Bluetooth at intervals of 5 s each. This happens continuously without an active request by a host. The smart receiver of the ED Gateway receives the data, identifies it and forwards it to the central controller of the ED Gateway.
The device enables:
the permanent display of the process parameters pressure and temperature at the inlet as well as at the outlet of up to three rolls
the continuous recording and storage of all measured values
the color display of the compliance with thresholds
triggering of alarms when thresholds are violated
analog and digital transmission of parameters to the central plant control system

The values for temperature and pressure at the inlet and outlet of a roll are displayed continuously. Up to 3 rolls can be recorded. The user has the possibility to specify set points and acceptable intervals for each parameter. The displayed values are color coded.
green - within the interval
yellow - near the limit of the interval
red - outside the interval
The setpoints and intervals as well as the limit range can be easily set in the integrated setup.
All values of all sensors are recorded continuously. These data are saved daily on the internal hard disc and will be availabe at every time.
ED sensors are recognized by the ED Gateway and can easily be coupled with single rolls, which allows for a roll recognition.
